These treatments can also cause the spread or recurrence of cancer at any future time during your life. The following are the current treatment options available to a cancer patient:
Surgery: Surgery is the oldest form of treatment for cancer. Chemotherapy: Chemotherapy involves the use of medicines to treat cancer. Hormone Therapy: Hormone therapy is used against certain cancers which are dependent on hormones for their growth. Immunotherapy: Immunotherapy, which is also called biological therapy, is the use of treatments that promote or support the body's immune system response to a disease such as cancer.
